I don't know about teenagers and women. Somehow they can take a shower for 17 minutes without even thinking about it. Well, with this little timer, at least they're thinking about it. The timer lets you set it as a countdown timer (preferably when it beeps when the time is up) or as a countdown timer. Also has a clock function to show you the current time. Works well in the shower. Stands on a shelf at the back of the shower stall on a small bracket. I don't think it's designed to deliver water straight through the shower, but it's been through a few hundred showers so far and works well. Setting the clock is a bit counterintuitive - there are 10 minute and 1 minute buttons. . You must use them to switch to the minute (e.g. 4:47 - set the hour, then press the 10 minute button x4 and the 1 minute button x7).
