Review on πŸ”Œ Carded Socket Saver 2-inch by Jones Stephens Corp by Tony Weber

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Designed for Grade 40 PVC

Good for Grade 40 PVC As another reviewer pointed out, there is a guide bushing in front of the cutting tip that must fit into the pipe being removed. The sleeve holds the cutting head in the center of the pipe to be removed while the larger cutting head follows and removes the pipe. The liner on this product is sized for schedule 40 pipe. If you have schedule 80 pipe, the wall thickness will increase resulting in a smaller ID, and the liner on this product will not fit. If you have 200 gauge pipe, the wall thickness will be thinner, the liner will have too much play and will not keep the cutter head centered. The Pasco model has three interchangeable bushings that allow you to make Schedule 40, Schedule 80, or Grade 200 pipe. It's a little more expensive, but not outrageously so. I have both For Schedule 40 repairs, this cannot be surpassed.
