Attention buyers - serious quality issues

I bought two ER100120 clock radios as gifts. The first unit ran less than 15 minutes before simply shutting down and dying. no light, no function, just dead. The second block worked EXCEPT the up button didn't work. If I set my alarm for 7:00 am and need to set it to a later time (e.g. 7:15 am), I have to go back after all the hours/minutes to get to 7:15 am. If the up button doesn't work, I can't just skip those 15 minutes. I have contacted Emerson Customer Service. It was quick and easy and the support rep gave me two replacement units. These devices arrived today and are not working properly. Pressing different keys leads to no or unexpected reaction. The power button sometimes turns the radio on/off, BUT it can also turn off the LEDs unexpectedly. Alarm button 2 works and sometimes toggles the functionality of alarm 1. Unfortunately, panic button 1 does not work. One of the devices I received today has another broken 'up' button. To add to my frustration, I used a power supply from one of the defective units I received today for an original unit I received that died after 15 minutes. This device has been running for over an hour BUT it still has buttons not responding OR causing other buttons to work unexpectedly. These are 4 out of 4 defective units. I'm at a loss. I will contact Emerson tomorrow to see what options are available for a known/good working device. Preferably a tested one. Otherwise I'll switch to another manufacturer that hopefully has at least some quality control.
