They're not the absolute best quality straps I've ever had for holding the back end of a boat down, but they are functional and do lock it down solid. I just would have preferred a little better locking mechanism. Once the cam is folded over, they use a velcro strap to hold it in place. Other straps I've used have all had a mechanical lock to hold them. Much more solid method and given the option, I'd pay more for that mechanical lock versus this velcro strap in the future. But they DO work and hold tight.
