Don't waste your money on these caps
I bought 2 pieces and I'm very disappointed. The screw does not stay in the lock and the door closes quickly and heavily. I set the closing speed of the door with a thumbscrew on the end that just won't stall. It's the same for both lids I've bought. I keep adjusting the thumbscrew, but it keeps loosening and the door keeps slamming shut. These are aluminum storm doors and aren't very heavy so it looks like the latch will need to be reworked for them to work.
