Right out of the box: The stitching looks perfect. Easy locking straps making it a no fuss design. plenty of adjustment with slack tie downs on the end of the waist adjustment straps. This feature is keeping straps secure and ergonomic. it is an actual padded tac vest just like the big dogs. the neck strap is covered to cover the adjustment and not tangle in the fur. I am going to add a piece of foam inside the cover for extra protection because of the Pomeranian throat sensitivity issues. all the plastic hardware is high quality UTX D- FLEX. I can hook her up to my tac harness /jump rig. It could go on smaller dogs but not too much smaller. My guess is 8 pounds may be pushing it adjustment limits. but if you can make a few minor strap mods it'd probably still fit a 5 -8 pound pup. This looks and feels like military quality.using the handle is great for a quick lift up into my backpack.
