I'm always concerned when I see so many 5 star reviews as in many cases they are paid reviews! But now that I have the cargo liner I can see why the 5 star reviews are warranted. I was not sure on what size to go with as I had seen other Outback owners go with the XL size.I did the measurements and figured LARGE would be perfect.and I believe it is! I keep the dogs in the rear cargo area with the seats up. I use the Walky Guard Adjustable car barrier (bought here on Revain, which works awesome) to keep the dogs in the rear. I wanted something to give the rear cargo a bit more cushion, be comfortable for them and be somewhat waterproof as our 1 dog does get car sick! I think this liner does the trick. I went with grey as I figured it would be a bit cooler in the summer. As you can see, with the seats up, the liner more than covers the whole area, and the bumper cover does its job as well. With the seats all the way down, it still covers the rear area well, maybe misses the front area by 2 inches.BUT one could use the bumper cover to do that.and I have a plastic cargo tray.so the rear would be protected. My pics are not the greatest, and the liner is a bit messed up--sorry.but it does lay down nicely. I highly recommend this liner and I think the LARGE size is the way to go with a 2016 Subaru Outback.
