KYB Front Suspension Boot Review SB102

I bought two of these to replace the original bellows (or boots) on my 2002 Toyota Camry LE V6 with 100,000 miles along with factory replacement ( OEM) with KYB GR-2 Racks (334338 and 334339). The KYB design here differs slightly from the OEM used on the Toyota Camry. This KYB product consists of a baffle (foam that sits around the piston to prevent it from sinking completely) and a bellows (accordion-shaped tube that keeps dirt and dust out of the piston rod/shaft). One piece with an upper rubber spring isolator, the KYB bellows needs to be attached to the fender (you need to put the two pieces together) (see picture). The KYB bellows are made from a tougher plastic compared to the OEM rubber below. It looks like this part will work fine.

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for seniors
