Important information for you

I'm giving one star because here you are looking for problems with this inverter. Firstly, the reviews saying they can't get 500w are very misleading. When connected to a 15 amp cigarette lighter at 12 volts, that would be a maximum of 180 watts (volts x amps). If anyone knows a way to turn 180W into 500W please message me because we found a product for life. This inverter converts energy (at a cost of around 10%) but does not generate it. When connected directly to a reasonably strong 12V supply with sufficiently thick cables such as B. the ones supplied with clamps, 500 W is no problem. Those who complain that the device turns off, talk about the safety of the structure. It's not that you've exceeded 500 watts, it's that you've exceeded the lower limit due to the lower source power. I also saw a review that said the on/off button didn't work. It disables the inverter function but leaves some small LEDs on to let you know power is available. The instructions actually advise you to pull the plug out of the socket when not in use. The final comment I will address is whether this is a "pure sine wave". Not having access to an oscilloscope can only comment on my non-technical observation of some satellite receivers, TVs and fans humming on my modified wave inverter, but not on this unit. As for the AC-DC port of a laptop charger, I don't see any way that this device can "destroy" a laptop. The 110v power adapter on my desktops loves it. Conclusion: rate the mind test with one star. While it may not live up to your expectations, this product does what it is designed to do. and does it well. If durability proves to be an issue I will be back.
