I bought Zenwifi mesh routers mainly because I don't get a wireless signal for the smart doorbell at my front door and a very inconsistent signal in my garage (pain when I'm on the phone and driving home). 90% of the time they call me when I arrive at my garage) I have a 2 story house with an area of 3500 sqm. ft. with 4 bedrooms. The entire installation took 20 minutes including unpacking, swapping out my current AC1900 router and using the ASUS router app to set it up. (only took 4 minutes!) Love this router: my new smart doorbell finally works and I get full wifi coverage in the garage. I check every corner of my house for 0 dead spots. I put the main unit in the closet upstairs and the second unit on the first floor. My transfer speed also increased from my laptop WiFi to my NAS storage transfer speed from 9MB/s to 43MB/s! and I can have a faster 5GHz band throughout the house. The Internet shows the maximum speed that my ISP offers. Parental controls work great and limit internet usage before bedtime. I can also schedule the router to reboot itself at 4am on Saturday, since the router is now as hard as a computer and it's best to unplug it from time to time. The price of this router is very competitive compared to other offerings on the market and now that there is no wifi in my house it is worth every penny. .
