Attractive sink if you don't have dirty hands. . .

I bought two of these. 37" in 2014 and now 31". First, it's fine for light use in a guest bathroom. It could be a 4 star case. As others have said, it's an attractive design, easy installation, and affordable price. That's good news. The bad news is that the very last block got dirty within two days of use. I use the "Cresto" hand cleaner after housework; and that hand cleaner immediately turned the bottom of the sink brown as well as the cleaner. I believe part of the problem is that the sink is sanded to its final shape, leaving a porous surface. Secondly, any kind of grease and dirt solvent in the hand wash can affect the contents of the plastic in the sink? Anyway, within a few days of use, my sink got yellowish-brown stains. The only way to remove them is to sand the surface; but then they reappear when an effective hand cleanser is used again. An endless loop of blot-sand-blot. . .?The second problem is that the overflow flow is too slow. I walked away to answer the phone, filling the tub slowly, thinking that if it took more than a second or two to get the phone out, the overflow would solve any problem. Bad guess. Add a few quarts of water per minute and he'll probably drain a cup or two per minute. As far as I can tell, this may have to do with how the overflow duct is attached with some sort of clear silicone sealant. My sink had a lot of sealant on the outside (underside). Are you saying that there are also large chunks of sealant inside partially blocking the drain?

Pros
  • This is amazing
Cons
  • Some bugs
