Revainrating 5 out of 5

BBW Approved! Worth every penny, durable, cute! See the drawing for the correct position of the wrist guard!

5'3, 200 lbs Female Bought Large Started skating to lose weight and needed protective gear, a little nervous as most reviews were for much skinnier girls I was concerned about my wrist the pads would break in a fall or the pads wouldn't fit BUT I've fallen many times and the wrist pads are ok (scratched on tarmac, not cracked at all) regarding features Fit: Helmet - fully adjustable, very thin comfortable Lining, that has come off but can be reattached with adhesive dots. The helmet is comfortable without. Wrists - Some reviews show them to be worn backwards and on the wrong hand, my photo shows a top view of my left guard. (Colored side down, Velcro up, thumb fits in hole when guard is fully open) They have padding on top and bottom which I really like but some may find the top unnecessary. They fit great and are fully adjustable. Elbow pads - put on and fasten, fairly standard, they fit perfectly. I have medium sized arms for my height with most of my weight on my lower body but they stretch a lot and I put them on my 5ft 10in husband and he can carry them comfortably. Knee Pads - I have large hips and very muscular calves and these are the only things I'm close to maxing out on for size, but I still have plenty of room if I need to increase them. But if you also have wider calves and hips you might need a size up, I have about an inch of wiggle room. (I wear 1x in shorts, 18/20 inch pants and 8/8.5 in shoes for reference) One more thing, the knee pads seem a little strange when they're on and your leg is straight, but when you skate, and your knees are properly bent, they are not even felt. TLDR - durable, tough, comfortable, lightweight, highly adjustable, took a beating, wrist padding took a 200lb drop, cute as hell!
