A good gift for any retro gamer, but a bit limiting.

Definitely a good gift for any retro gamer. My friend loves these old retro games very much. This device is really lightweight and battery operated. Charging is done using an old four-pin USB cable. It cannot be transferred to this device, so you cannot add any more games to this device. These are old games and there are no games like Pokemon or other Gameboy games that I can tell. So if you're looking, this isn't the device. There is no micro SD card to add for additional games. You only get 168. What I didn't like is the annoying music that keeps playing when you select a game. I have to turn the sound off and on again when I select a game. The volume wheel is on the left. There is also no option to search for a game and you have to scroll through them to find your game. The screen itself is bright and the battery lasts four hours of constant gaming. There are directional buttons and four action buttons. There is also an introduction and selection. There is no other way to return to the main screen other than pressing the reset button in the middle. Playing games on the bright LCD screen is a lot of fun. It can be connected to a TV if you have a TV that supports composite cables or an adapter. Image quality doesn't scale, and you have a fairly short cable to work with, giving you pretty good control of the game with the cable that comes with it. Overall I think this device is a good retro game player, but the fact that you can't add or remove games makes it a bit boring and difficult to navigate after a while.
