Installed with no problems but the strut bolts can get stuck unless you have recently removed them. I used an impact wrench to remove everything and an impact wrench to install the new mirror feet. 1) Install the base first 2) Insert the lever and insert the lever stop screw, make sure the lever is tilted up 3) Install the mirror on the lever, leave the mirror loose and tighten the screws around the ball joint until it is snug but not fully engaged 4) tighten the mirror but 5) tighten the locking screw on the arm but still a little loose 6) get into the jeep with the doors in the normally open position Open position and watch the doors make contact with the mirrors. 7) Determine the best compromise between the door, open the mirror position and adjust the tethers in the door hinge. 8) When satisfied, tighten everything. Mine are very solid and don't budge, but I can imagine the mirror being out of sight if I open the door too far
