I have a small fridge, I'm guessing about 17 cubic inches. Its design is based on the natural convective activity that occurs when the top of the evaporator is cold. This may be normal if the fridge isn't opened regularly, but since it's in my room, it's opened several times a day, which allows the cold air that's settled to the bottom of the fridge to escape. Using velcro I was able to attach a fan to the top back of my fridge, positioned to pull air in through the evaporator and blow it down, forcing the hot air out at the bottom. The hot air is now pushed up to the evaporator and then forced through the cold evaporator by the fan. I now have forced airflow in my fridge. With my hand on my back below the fan, I can feel cold air blowing into the fridge. It's not a powerful fan, but it doesn't need to be. The only downside I have is that I can't access the switch without taking it out of the fridge, but that's a minor issue since it's secured with velcro.
