The material is thick, I haven't tested the waterproofing yet, personally I don't expect it to be needed, but I think it will ward off a spill, probably won't resist Don't get the right soak. There's a strip of fabric under the doors, I guess it's supposed to hold the shape, but it doesn't really excel in anything other than getting in the way. I think a set of velcro under the drawer would be more useful, besides gravity nothing is holding the cover in place. I personally wouldn't leave it out there even though the product description says you can. The fabric is very soft, which I like, but I'm not sure if it will withstand a sharp stick. Doesn't seem like street material to me. I bought a case with a blue pattern, it looked blue and white in the sample photos, but it's actually blue, yellow and gold. I wish it was white or light yellow like the pictures. The zippers are thick and strong, should last a long time. I like the window so my dog can look out of the crate but feel protected as I wish the mesh was a strip. The tongues and rubber bands for rolling up the doors are nice and thick too, so I guess some chewing needs to be done there. If you have a medium to heavy chewer I think it will eat it up quickly. Overall, I can recommend this product, I think the price and quality are very fair.
