Love, love, love my halogen suction burner! I became interested in siphon coffee brewing after visiting a Starbucks surrogate roaster in Seattle. Bought a siphon coffee maker there. Of course, when I asked about the best heating method, I was told that although "very expensive" a halogen burner would be best. hard to find except here :) which prompted me to check out amazon. I finally have this beauty and I really love it. The heat level is very easy to set and very intense when needed and I think it looks pretty impressive when brewing. I'm grateful I decided to just skip the alcohol burner and the other one that uses butane. Crap! I could almost feel it in my head and I hate the thought of it ruining my magical coffee moment. Go ahead, pay extra and buy this burner. she is worth it! PS don't order it from anyone else here but this company. It might seem like you saved a ton, but you CAN also get a very large, very heavy mechanical part from China that literally no one (not even my die-hard engineer husband) knows what it is, then you lose hundred dollars . ! Just say NO to third parties!
