I bought several hole saws for my tiling project where my plumbing comes out of the wall. This drum sander turned out to be all I needed and it made BEAUTIFUL holes. I ended up returning all the individual hole saws as this thing worked perfectly. Note that if you have a hole in the middle of a large and thick tile, it is better to use a hole saw. But in my case I didn't need it because my tiles were only 3" wide and the piping lines up almost perfectly with the edge of each tile, so all I had to do was carve half circles into the tiles. As long as you don't force the grinder to do it, slowly to tile and sand, the finished product will not chip or peel off the tile.
