It works. Not sure how long that will take. (First replacement only took a few weeks)
The original cable lasted 20 years on our houseboat which is used every week in the summer. When I had to replace it, I used this cable. The replacement cable broke after three weeks of use. I'm glad I bought replacement cables! Maybe I did something wrong during installation. If the second cable breaks too soon I will downgrade my rating.
