I see, a round pin in a round hole. What can go wrong?
These dowels are very consistent in diameter and the first fits like the last. They're thick enough to be tucked in, which is ideal as all that friction helps keep them in place at all times. I've never broken a dowel or fallen out of a hole. I don't normally do a dry fit test (no glue) as the dowels are a bit difficult to remove after installation. Not impossible, mind you, just a bit painful. Also, the second fitting will not be as tight as the first. So I measure carefully guys and be ready to quickly take apart your project if something is wrong.
