Best update for my car so far

Seeing this head unit with no reviews, I jumped at the chance and bought it. However, it turned out to be a very good head unit. The built-in Android Auto worked great, but I decided to download the Head Unit Reloaded app to tweak certain settings and even use the wireless Android Auto that wasn't bundled with the unit. The climate controls work great and there's an unobtrusive screen when you adjust settings with the physical buttons. The software on the head unit is also excellent. Thanks to the updated Android 10 software and an octa-core processor, everything runs smoothly and quickly. If you choose to install a custom rear view camera (I have the base model so my machine didn't come with it) it will work with this unit as long as it has a yellow video cable. When reversing, the main unit lowers the volume and the camera pops out automatically. It even has lines that move when you turn the steering wheel if you plug in an OBD 2 port. I was put off buying one of these Chinese head units for a while because I'd seen videos of similar ones on YouTube and read comments about them have sound quality, software, compatibility, etc. After using this unit for about a week, it is safe to say that none of these issues exist. I've seen similar devices on YouTube with ugly software and poor sound quality. The software on this device differs from others in that it requires no download time except during initial installation. After that, every time you turn on the device, the screen will be fully functional within 3 seconds and all the applications you had will be reopened. Also, the software doesn't feel like it's just an Android tablet placed in a car. Looks made for a car. In terms of sound quality, this head unit does not disappoint. I tend to be the type of person who really pays attention to speaker quality when listening to music, and I did before installing the unit. I don't have Mark Levinson in my car, but the speakers have always sounded great. After installing the unit, the sound quality remains exactly the same as the head unit. The only difference is that now the volume knob on the CD changer part now controls the power delivered to the speakers, while the steering wheel controls and volume knob on the head unit control the volume. For example, if I turn down the "Power" knob but turn up the volume on the main unit, the speakers sound awful. But when I turn the power knob, the speakers sound better and can get louder. Once I found a sweet spot, I left the "power" button alone and now only use the head unit/steering wheel for volume control. Also, I recommend setting up your favorite EQ settings with a standard stereo before plugging it in because although this head unit has an EQ, it doesn't work very well and I haven't bothered to use it since I have the Settings already had a set left from the camp radio. The main unit has 3 USB ports, one separate from the other two connected to the same port on the back of the main unit. I personally used the third one for the DVR and tucked the cable behind the main unit. I routed the other two under the block and into the ashtray (which is removable) because there was a hole on the side for convenient threading of the wire. Most car chargers don't do a very good job of charging my phone, but this one charged it pretty well. Overall a great head unit, glad I bought it. Don't watch YouTube videos about IS250 and 350 Android head units as I haven't found any video on this particular model with better software yet.
