Yes, it works with one caveat: the standard power adapter that comes with Chromecast Google TV doesn't have enough power to power the Ethernet port to supply. I have lights and what appeared to be activity (flashing lights) but it never showed up in network settings. Tried several settings in developer options, nothing. I was going to give it to Revane but then decided to use a larger power supply I had laying around. SUCCESS. In my case the Samsung 5V 2A charger worked. The output of the standard power supply is stamped 5V 1.5A. After switching on, Ethernet was visible in the network settings. I can't comment on other users' experiences with packet loss. All I know is that in my case, the internet connection is smoother and no longer buffering.
