Paper quality is average, which is to be expected for $5. However, the spiral for this sketchbook, as well as other sketchbooks from this brand, is absolutely terrible. I understand that they are arranged in such a way that you can take out pages, but you can't turn the page completely, you can't fold the pages one by one like in a normal spiral sketchbook, between open and closed spiral. This is completely useless and since the pages are already perforated there is literally no reason for the spiral to work like this. As an artist, he's incredibly annoying to work with because I literally can't leave the house with him and I love painting in the woods.
