Very beautiful, well made, just what I needed for cleaning. I see a lot of people complaining about removing the lid, well the lid has a locking mechanism consisting of two internal dents on the lid and two channels on the shaker in an L shape if you're not careful and the lid down without press If you use the channels on the lid, it will be difficult to remove. This isn't rocket science, it's easy to understand by looking at it. It is possible that some of the complainers here received a return because the previous buyer closed the item incorrectly. When it comes to how much it can hold, I haven't verified that ounces are a measure of weight, and this can differ from equal volume depending on what you fill it with. What I can tell you is that it's big enough for the purpose I was looking for (to use on my grill). Hope that helps.
