Prevents false alarms when cooking in the kitchen!

This is the ONLY smoke alarm that won't set off a false alarm in the kitchen! If your smoke alarms go off while you're cooking, you *need* a photoelectric alarm. I tried 2 different ones from the store except the one I had at home, all used ionizing radiation to detect fires (the most common technology). One was even a $50 model that said it had a smart way to reduce false alarms. In all cases, when I tried to cook a large pack of bacon, the smoke detectors worked perfectly. They went on to other things, too, but bacon was a surefire way to cheer them on. So of course I tested it with bacon. To the dismay of my family's arteries, I cooked up to three bags at a time and even turned off the fan over the stove. The thing didn't work at all. I've had it in place for about 2 months and it only worked once - when I got it to work by intentionally setting fire to a small piece of wood next to it to make sure it wasn't damaged. EDIT: Make it 4 months now! And he just passed the Thanksgiving Cooking Test! We used to automatically turn off the old fire alarm on Thanksgiving, but that crap never worked! .Many Thanks!
