otherwise your fingers will smear the adhesive and you fail

I just applied them today and thought it would be helpful if anyone knew how easy it is to apply these door edge wraps. First, it's actually 2 strips of half an inch. So it only covers 0.25 inch on each side of the door edge. One for each door if you only have 2 doors. In fact, this is enough to provide the needed "edge" protection. The instructions are very clear, just clean both the outside edge and the inside edge of your door. Make sure there are no traces of dirt left on the towel after the 20th wipe! When you are absolutely sure the edge is clean, wash your hands! Otherwise your fingers will smear the glue and you will fail. So make sure your hand is clean too. This is a 3 motion process: outside>edge>inside. Now start gluing the strip about 3mm from the top edge of the edging so you don't touch any trim. Then check that your strip is about half the size of the one you're gluing to the outside edge. One hand guides and views the strip while the other hand slides to push the strip down. I found it easier to stretch the strip a little while guiding it in place and it works great for rounded corners too. Take your time with it so it looks even. It will probably be longer than you need, I had to cut off about 5 inches. You will then press on the rim to seal it. Finally, press the inside edge to seal it (no need to be too picky with this part), and voila! They have made! Great product, it shows little but does its job well. Good luck everyone!
