Review on Susan Bates Silvalume Aluminum Assorted Knitting & Crochet by Gelin Battle

As a beginner knitter, I used to see these crochet hooks in the aisles of my big store and wanted to know what they were for. When researching Tunisian crochet, I decided to grab one to try—not knowing much about the thickness. Joanne is selling mine. The only size they had was 6mm, so I started with that. I prefer aluminum hooks and this one did not disappoint. It is well weighted, easy to use and comfortable. On this 10" needle I can easily knit 30 stitches of heavy worsted yarn and maybe 5 more stitches. You can easily slip 40-50 stitches depending on the weight of your yarn. The size is clearly indicated on the cork, but in mm and not in letter sizes. 6mm, that's J. I was looking at cheap Tunisian sets to start my collection. But I keep coming back to it, it's everything I wanted from a hook. I may need to add these hooks to my collection over time. Better than wasting money on a fake with mixed reviews when it's the real deal.
