I bought these for my kittens who were about to be neutered. They were sent home with plastic skittles and as soon as they got home I put them in these. They are soft and comfortable. Kittens can walk through the cat door with him, sleep comfortably and still see around him without having to lick their tummy. Currently. I will say that my black and white girl made the best impression of a feral cat and got out of her almost immediately. She was stressed from day one and her reaction to everything was so extreme that in the end we left her alone and luckily her stomach stayed calm. We tried again the next day and she left it on for half an hour but then took it off. HOWEVER, I have to point out 2 things: I think she would either get out of the cone with her extreme reaction, or she would cut her neck (that cone was sharp!) And also this little girl figured out how to get out of the pin to play with a 5 week old(!) pet and learn how to unzip and zip from the inside just enough to put a paw in and then lift it up to let her body through. She is unusual. I could have pulled it tighter and it might have held up better, but I decided against it because she wasn't playing with her stitches. My little white girl held it perfectly. It's been 9 days now. I'm going away for a full 2 weeks. I don't think she notices. It's like a travel pillow. She is completely satisfied and at ease. I put it in the washing machine once and it was fine. I'm very satisfied with this product.
