Wire not flexible

I bought these needles for a new project where I only needed to use them for a few rows before switching to replacement circular needles. They worked fine for this, but I found the wire twists a lot, while my spare needle set has a very flexible wire that doesn't require trying to straighten the wire to knit evenly.
