Here's another Made in USA company down the wrong path with inferior or defective products. I start tearing up my used K&N filters to see the pleats decrease and the crush increase as the factory begins to lower their standards. I've seen some K&N filters lose the filtration area of those made in Mexico compared to those that used to be made here. I hope the CEO of K&N will continue to support mechanics whose engines are failing due to faulty filters, but I doubt they will trade dollars for quality to increase their bonuses. After all, I don't think they rely on their cars the way the average American does.
