These dogs are ideal for feeding for several reasons: 1) they are virtually indestructible; I've been using mine on a daily basis for almost 30 years; 2) Use them in the cage to show the dog that their special space is where they are fed and handled; 3) Feeding in their cage eliminates the need to have a napkin with a dog bowl or two somewhere in your house that people trip over and attract pests; 4) The buckets are fully dishwasher safe (keep a few spares handy to take with you in the car, some must be used, some are dishwasher safe and some are ready to use; 5) If you have multiple pets and you are concerned, "Control" the feeding times so that everyone gets their correct ration (no more stealing and no less stealing), then crate feeding solves these problems too. 6) This method = no mess, clean floors, good eating habits, confirms portion control, incredibly durable product. To be honest, after using this method and having my guests swoon at the effectiveness, I wonder how/why anyone would use a different method.
