To be honest I'm at a loss as to where to find a quality ice scraper. They are either too big or too small; too sharp or too blunt; too clumsy or too slippery; too thin or too heavy. I would think that when icy windshields become a daily routine across the country (and the world) every winter, we would have things like this as a species. But no. This Hopkings 581-E was recommended to me as "one of the best" and well worth it. He's got a broom, which is good, he's got a wide scraper and a small scraper, and it slides out. Cons: Wide scraper, not flexible enough to scrape evenly; scratches either in the very center or scratches on both edges (we have two scrapers and each one is different); The "grip" foam is just weird and awkward to use, I'll rip it off one day. It seems to be telescoping properly at the moment and it may get better with time. But I'm seriously disappointed in the overall feeling I get when using it; it looks fragile and cheap. I'm happy to pay more for a device that I can use for decades than for the crap that is bought every year.
