We use these pads under all of our rugs on the hardwood floors and they're great. No problems except we have to sometimes trim them to fit the rugs, but we just use fabric scissors and it's a snap. We have 4 of these in different sizes and they're soft and make our thin rugs look expensive and plush. They hold up with dogs and, above all, do not stick to our hardwood floors which the waffle pads always do and can ruin them. We'll never go back to cheaper pads- they're worth the slight extra cost to protect your floors, last and look good
