Purchased for use with stainless steel pans from a commercial steamer. Not good, very slippery, actually a bit dangerous. They clean up well so I took them home to use on the grill, we'll see. They seem to insulate very well against heat and are about half waterproof. You are a little on the small side. I usually wear med/lg gloves and they were pretty tight. The guy I work with wears big gloves, no big deal, too small couldn't even put them on. They don't reach your hand as far as a regular oven mitt. They are listed as very long, but again are about 3 to 4 inches shorter compared to standard gloves. Bottom line: stay away from these gloves when using a wet pan. I hope they will be useful around the house.
