Ford Escape A/C Heater/Fan Speed โ€‹โ€‹Control

Fixed 2009 Ford Escape A/C Heater/Fan Speed Control. Fan speeds 1 and 2 no longer work, 3 and 4 continue to work. I went online and found that this is the solution. Not too difficult to install. Remove the three screws under the glove box hinge to remove the glove box. If you look at the top of the fan housing you will see the electrical connector. The plug is connected to this motor resistor. Remove the connector, you may have to pry it to loosen it. Two 8mm screws hold the motor resistor in place. The flat part of the motor resistor is on the underside of the fan housing. Remove the old resistor. Pay attention to the position of the holes on the mounting flange. You may need to drill some holes (with a 3/16" bit) to match the open holes on your old resistor. It's very easy. Be sure to remove the thin foam pad before drilling the hole. Install the new device with its gasket. Connect the plug. Your fan speed control should now work. You can find some really good videos on the internet.
