This caliper is great! Build quality, design, precision and functionality are excellent. One of the great features is the ability to "zero" it to the width of the pin, for example, then measure the hole and see the difference in diameter, be it positive or negative. In some cases you'll want to measure before attempting to mount something so as not to damage anything. Compared to my Stanley caliper, this one is way better in every way. The only feature I would like is an auto shut off feature. If you forget to turn it off, you can drain the battery unnoticed, although the battery lasts a very long time. I highly recommend this caliper. I also have other Mitutoyo tools and they are all excellent. One of the best brands!
