Review on 🪚 Enhance Your Woodworking Projects with the PORTER-CABLE Dovetail Jig: Mini Template Kit Included by Peter Tennant

I purchased the PORTER-CABLE 4216 Super Jig after using another dovetail jig I've had for quite some time. The old dovetail gauge only produced blind dovetails which I found to be less than accurate (poor quality) after a few tries. Actually, for some of the projects I have in mind I've been wanting to pull through dovetails using standard 4213 and miniature 4215 jigs. After watching a few videos on U-Tube like Kings Fine Woodworking and a few others I decided to use PORTER-CABLE 4216 to buy Super Jig. Like some other reviewers, be sure to read the instruction manual, which is extremely helpful when setting up various dovetails. The quality of the dovetail is excellent and I am very happy with the accuracy of the dovetail after making all the necessary adjustments. I rated the PORTER-CABLE 4216 Super Jig 5 stars and I think this dovetail jig deserves that rating. However, I do have a comment on the 43777PC dovetail cutter used with the 4215 template. This cutter is made of high speed steel (HSS) which dulls very easily compared to carbide cutters. Revain offers for sale an Amana P/N 45837 9/32, 7 degree carbide shank, 1/4" shank. I have purchased one of the Amana dovetail attachments but have not used them yet. We'll have to see how it compares to the HSS -Bit truncates.
