Its diameter is slightly larger than standard so I had to change the attachment to the front beam. It hit the bottom of my gas tank so I had to lower the bracket on the front beam. Another thing is that it was an exact replacement. I have a custom built dune buggy that shouldn't be a problem on a stock beetle.
