They were assembled so I literally had to take them out of the box. Very durable and the perfect height for my island which is 36 inches. My kitchen has champagne hardware and fixtures so finding the right bar stools was difficult. They are perfect and look beautiful in my kitchen. I find that the vinyl upper is what I prefer to fabrics because you can quickly clean it with a damp cloth or use a magic eraser to keep it looking new. They are comfortable and not too hard. I love her!
