Good tv great art mode horrible bracket design

I pre-ordered this tv and before it arrived the first reviews were coming in and most of them mentioned the horrible bracket design of this version. "How bad can it be?" I thought. As soon as I received the TV, I opened the box with the mount and carefully read the "instructions" (actually more like hieroglyphs - almost no text) and thought it seemed simple enough. It wasn't until I was almost ready to hang the TV that I realized how silly the mount design is. There's a reason virtually every TV mount is a single mount and therefore wide enough to span two studs. and only need 4 screws. Well, Samsung has decided to split the bracket into two. At first you might think that this makes it flexible since you can move each part independently. Not correct. The most idiotic part of the design is that the two brackets are NOT flexible in their placement, they actually have to be positioned exactly according to the distance between the hooks that attach to the TV, which depends on the size of the model. Also, you MUST insert screws into the holes between the pieces that the hook attaches to (marked with a "*” in the instructions). The spacing required has nothing to do with the usual lug spacing or anything like that - the 65" version has a spacing of 37.25". Thus, NEVER touch the bolt with both clamps, on which the TV hangs. Because of that, and that stupid split mount, you have to drill 8 HOLES in the wall to install this thing (or at least 6). Four per brace - two meeting the stud and additional drywall anchors or toggle bolts to ensure you hit the "*" holes. Oh, and Samsung does NOT include the extra screws you need, they only include studs. I installed this thing over a week ago and it's still bugging me. And after all that, mine isn't even hanging straight. Hopefully someone will make a youtube video showing how to get it to "snap" into the mount. I'm too hesitant to slide the TV in the wrong place, so I dangled it forward a bit. Aside from the terrible mounting design, the TV itself lives up to our expectations. We first bought it for art mode to fill a large wall with art and it works well for that purpose. The smart mode works well in our room to modulate the brightness of the art mode and turn it off at night. Basically it's been a "set it and forget it" experience so far. I was a bit worried that I would have to tweak the settings a lot more. - With the Smart Things app, you can wirelessly stream your own pictures to the TV, making downloading easier. - Like a real TV, it's perfectly fine. I don't like the Tizen interface but the App Store has most of the things I need and they work well enough. On the negative side: - The TV panel itself, for example, leaves a lot to be desired. Looking at it from a different angle looks a bit washed out, not ideal if your black carpet looks gray. - The interface is sluggish when changing images. - Very few embedded images. - Bad options for your own image, which makes it feel like it's trying to discourage it and push you to use the subscription service. Example: You need to manually crop images to 16:9 before uploading if you want a consistent matte border. There are only two mat options, compared to 5-6 for inline illustrations. There doesn't seem to be a way to turn off the matte so it's full screen (although some of the images I've passed are full screen). overall seems inconsistent and a bit buggy. when your black carpet looks grey. - The interface is sluggish when changing images. - Very few embedded images. - Bad options for your own image, which makes it feel like it's trying to discourage it and push you to use the subscription service.
