Sophisticated but smart OBD2 scanner, lifetime free updates

This NT716 series or any other NT7 series in general is a 2021 upgrade compared to the NT6 series which has more cars, more Diagnostics and more compatibility includes Android. My father has an old car that has constant problems and refuses to give up and sell it. To save several trips to the mechanic I bought FOXWELL OBD2 scanners. I didn't know which model to choose, so I took both NT706 and NT716 (2021 updated version). I can see both are 5.5 inch touch screen ABS SRS Transmission ODB2 Scanner and both work on my dad's old car. However, I keep looking for differences and can't find any. There's even an NT726 now that looks incredibly similar and I guess the higher the number the better the model, given that this NT716 is more expensive than the NT706 and the NT726 is even more expensive than the previous model. My dad and I have different phone models, and I have an Android, and learning from my mistakes, I recommend only turning it on on one phone and one car so there's no confusion. My dad and I don't know much about cars so I like that I can just put in the VIN and let it do its job. I also love that there is a lifetime update. If my dad later wants to upgrade his car to a newer model, an update is all we need for peace of mind. There is a lot of information out there, so learning how to use this reliable diagnostic tool will take a learning curve. My dad is older and after turning it on he was already complaining that it was too difficult for him and that he would prefer something easier so I had to dig through the manual to learn it and teach him again. Our previous favorite uses the "Scan and Diagnose" option, which checks the engine, ABS, SRS, and transmission system, which are the most common problems on his old car anyway. It really saved us some money and time as we didn't have to drive to the mechanic, wait hours and pay for each service.
