Review on MiLocks TKK 02AQ Digital Electronic Interior by Michael Bryan

Simple and practical

I bought two of these on December 22nd to set up two bedrooms that I rent out on AirBnB. Installation was easy and code programming is easy. Between the two locks I change codes a few times a week and have had very minor issues with the keypad. I don't know what problems people have with batteries because my doors get a lot of use and I haven't had to change the batteries since I installed them in December (it's almost June now). I'll start with the battery. Cons - The keyboard is sometimes unresponsive. The maximum time he doesn't answer is maybe 2 seconds and yet no guest has complained about him not answering so it's not a big problem. The locking mechanism sounds weird. Works well but sounds bad. - The beep is a bit loud. So far no guest has complained when another guest unlocks the door late at night, but I can hear it downstairs. Now for the pros: - Installation was easy - You can just delete either one code or all codes. .- Adding code is easy. All other aspects work as expected. It works like a doorknob as it should. When installing the locks, I used a spirit level to ensure the battery compartment was perfectly vertical. I also spent some time getting the alignment perfect because when I just screwed it on it seemed to stick a bit when I turned the knob. I wonder if that's why so many people have trouble with it.

Pros
  • Doorknobs
Cons
  • I vaguely remember
