VP Racing Fuel 3045 replacement breather cap will work with OE plastic cans of gasoline if: You place a #11 9/16" ID 3/4" OD O-ring in the bottom of the cap. Without the o-ring as above, the cap will leak. Although traditionally threaded, the inside diameter of the cap is slightly larger than the stock cap so it will not leak without the #11 o-ring. These o-rings are sold by Harbor Frieght as a kit at a very reasonable price. But only being able to buy replacement caps for old style GCs is amazing as these items will be banned to the general public very soon. EPA, AQMD, NBA, NFL, ACLU and all other agencies will stop selling these parts. Better get it now. However, large combo packs of replacement tips and caps are not legal for sale in some states. These are the following. They work and breathe new life into the original LARGE gas cartridges. I would give it five stars if it didn't require an O-ring to seal. VP should supply an o-ring with this cap to make this great product even better.
