These units, like the Tyger and Venzo, tend to be expensive in my opinion. However, if you are traveling with several bikes, Tyger or SARIS are very durable. I have (3) SARIS as I traded the Venzo for another SARIS before going on holiday with (4) bikes in the back of our car. I wish they were a little smaller in diameter as trying to attach them to a Yakima bike rack is a bit tight. Of the (3) different models I've had, they all have the same tube diameter. I'm sure they can be made smaller in diameter but still provide a secure and stable attachment between the bike and the bike rack. Overall a good product.
