When I bought this yarn the advert clearly said it was very fine, 1 weight but I wouldn't rate it, yes it is fine but not that fine, II use a 3mm hook and it's perfect, good weight for a knee coat and doesn't leak. I love the softness and quality of this yarn and have ordered another one. When I bought it, I saw several reviews that gave it poor ratings because it was thin. The advert specifically states that this is a beautiful yarn so their error should not have been reflected in their review. Sorry but it is. Just plain wrong, you need to read the ads not just look at the pictures. This yarn can be considered a bit split so it will be more difficult to use a built in needle but I use a rounded point needle with a straight shank and I have had no problems. Love the way it is crocheted and 2 of these with a 3mm hook make a good sized knee coat. My pattern is tightly woven and fancy, not lace, so lace will likely be more. The color changes are different from other threads I've used and depending on your pattern you may or may not like them, but they worked for me, great. Anyway, I love this yarn, it's beautiful and beautifully crocheted.
