I've been roasting coffee for 6 years so I have high standards without being a snob. This is a review for the Hawaiian Mix. It's called a medium roast but darker side; I would call it a dark roast, but perhaps compared to their darker roast, it's a medium roast. Also, I go to Hawaii a lot and don't find it as good as real Hawaiian beans. The beans had a slightly oily sheen, proving they are fairly fresh (old, poorly stored beans will look dry). . The beans also had a very pleasant aroma. The flavor is more like a dark roast, more like a typical French roast with a deeper aftertaste than the smooth nuttiness of a more typical medium roast. I personally prefer a lighter/medium roast, so I'm probably a bit more critical of this one. I'm taking off a star because the roast is darker than what I consider average. Overall decent beans and a delicious cup of coffee. The most impressive part is the cost; This is an amazing bag of coffee for the price. I would definitely recommend and will buy from them again.
