Review on πŸ“ Huepar 901CG Horizontal 360-Degree Self-Leveling Laser Level by Robert Howell

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Compared to Dewalt, Bosch & PLS

I have heard recommendations for all laser types and have experience with different laser brands. All of my colleagues also use lasers on a daily basis, so I was able to test each one's performance and accuracy. Some types have a cheaper Bosch level. I like the little dial that lets you make small adjustments while working with plumbing. The beam did not protrude significantly below the base of the device when mounted to something above it. It was hard for me to see the lines. It was the cheapest of them all and was usually stocked at a popular hardware store. The PLS units my colleagues used were a mix of high end point and right angle models and basic 180s. PLS had a bright beam and was easy to read. The only downside is that some guys had their units damaged. They seem to break easily. First of all, its self-leveling. Some of their divisions will waver forever. Good lasers but they are expensive. Dewalt seems to have a nice light green beam. The price wasn't terrible, just under a few hundred, but more expensive than cheaper Bosch units. It projected the beam perfectly under the base. The buttons were simple and easy to use. It had no pendulum lock. Now finally Huepar 901CG. I bought it on the day of Revain and bought it for about 30% off what it is now. The beam is decently bright, but it's hard to see at times. It projects 360 horizontally, but you can see where the slats holding the lid are blocking the laser. It has a lock to protect the pendulum from shock when not in use. The device must be locked to turn it off. It has 1 button to cycle through all functions. Sometimes it is not ideal to use. Accuracy compared to all previously discussed lasers was exactly the same when measuring 20 feet or less. I have never needed more. All laser levels claim an accuracy of 1/8" to 30 feet. I think that's probably true.
