I prefer this over lysine supplements because they are more like horse pills. I take lysine because I'm vegan and it's an amino acid that we don't get enough of if we don't eat enough legumes, which I don't eat every day. It has been found that lysine supplements can increase iron levels more than iron supplements when the amino acid is deficient. I like that it will last a long time so I don't have to buy every month like my other supplements. I add a teaspoon to my daily protein shake and have no taste. My sister, on the other hand, says it makes the protein shake very salty and she can't digest it, so be aware that this product may not be for everyone.
