I don't like the smell it spreads throughout the house. My microwave is new, almost dirty and hasn't cleaned anything. I had to wipe it down with a rag and a cleaning spray. That's how I was able to do it and didn't have to deal with the stinky smell. Maybe it works better for a dirtier microwave, I don't know, but I find it hard to believe because it didn't clean mine, which was barely dirty. I bought it because of the good reviews, but I wasn't convinced. I really wanted it to work and get me out of trouble 😩
