Nut Removed: Power Tool

I bought this kit because it was cheaper than other brands of similar nut and bolt removers that seemed very little different. I had a frozen Boghead Lugai on my minivan. Tried several other ways to remove it to no avail. I used the 17mm head from the kit, hammered it in hard and used a broken 3/8 bar of 2.5 foot steel tubing as leverage to remove the nut. The spiral grooves dug into the nut and clamped it so it could be removed. They are used to drive a knurled socket onto a nut/bolt to clamp a round head. Hammer them right in, as the nest may shatter if turned on its side. After I was finished, the flutes appeared intact, except for maybe some scratched paint.

Pros
  • Lots of positive vibes
Cons
  • No power
